Intro to Karting at Sonny's Place

Sonny’s Place Go Kart track features cars that are safe, fun to drive and maintained for top performance. So get ready to put the pedal to the metal!

Our experienced staff will brief you on the safe use of our Go Karts prior to hitting the track. We recommend that you take it slow and easy as you are becoming familiar with your Kart and the challenges of our specially designed course.

Once you have familiarized yourself with Go Karting at Sonny’s Place, you are free to explore the excitement of racing in a fun vehicle that is quick and responsive to your every command. Challenge yourself and hone your skills. The sport inspires friendly competition, unique thrills and a great time all around.

Go solo in a single Kart or bring along a friend to ride along. Just about anyone can ride. Please see the rules below for specific age and height restrictions.

Safety

At Sonny’s, we make sure that your Go Kart experience is as safe as possible:

• Single cars equipped with full safety harnesses, double cars with 3-point seatbelts

• 360 degree bumpers surrounding the car

• Pads on steering wheels & head rests

• Ride operator can stop all cars in the event of an issue

• Strict safety rules that must be followed by all participants during the race

Kart Rules

• To drive a Go Kart at Sonny’s Place, you must be 10 years old or above and at least 54 inches tall.
  
  
• To drive a two-person Go Kart, you must be 16 years older or above and at least 54-inches in height.
  
  
• To ride as a passenger in a two-person Go Kart, you must be at least four years old and 36 inches tall.
  
  
• You must remain seated and keep your shoulder harness securely fastened at all times while on the racetrack.
  
  
• You may not lean out of the Kart while in motion.
  
  
• Keep your arms and legs within the Go Kart at all times while on the track.
  
  
• We reserve the right to remove patrons who are not following the rules or otherwise putting themselves or others in danger.
